1. Who was Bhagwan Swaminarayan?

Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781–1830) was a Hindu spiritual leader and reformer who founded the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. Followers believe him to be the manifestation of the Supreme God.

His birth name was Ghanshyam Pande.

He was born on 3 April 1781 in Chhapaiya village, Uttar Pradesh, India

At age 11, he left home and traveled across India for about 7 years as a young yogi named Nilkanth Varni, practicing austerities and spiritual disciplines.

He was initiated by Ramanand Swami, the leader of the Uddhav Sampradaya.

It is a Hindu devotional tradition within Vaishnavism established by Swaminarayan, focused on bhakti (devotion), moral living, and disciplined spiritual practice.

His teachings emphasize:
